I help creative dynamic people release themselves from the past and live in the now.
As a therapist, my philosophy is simple. I believe in your autonomy. I respect you. I listen. I believe in cultivating an equitable space for your unfolding. I provide a zone of non-judgmental presence where emotions can be felt, heard, seen, and released.
I’m Malia Gallegos. I am hapa - biracial - gen x – islander – partner – daughter - stepmom – aunty - dog mom – friend - dancer – laugher, and lifelong learner. I love people. I am open-minded and have lived a life full of love, art, and adventure. I became a therapist after I overcame my own trauma using the same tools I will share with you.
I have a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Somatic Psychology. I have advanced training in working with trauma and the body, and I am certified in many approaches to trauma and somatic therapies. My specialties are inclusive of long-term complex issues and life experiences.
